Yeah some dumbass was passing cars on the freeway in the slow lane. I was in the fast lane doing about 80 when I saw him come and pass me still in the slow lane. Car merged into his lane and he swerved and lost control and started fishtailing. I was like oh **** he's gonna lose it just like that he shoots across 4 lanes of freeway into me, sending me into the center divider at 80. Now I'm waiting to see if my car is totalled, but who would want to drive a car after it had been hit in the side by a car going at least 70 at the time and then hit a wall at 80? Don't be another one of those idiots on the road that makes me wish that there were still freeway shootings to keep people in check. Oh by the way did I mention today my car would have been a year old less than 15,000 miles on it.

Sorry to hear it, but what do you expect when you drive like an idiot? Not trying to be disrespectful, but I mean, seriously? Don't forget that you aren't the only car on the road and be careful. My car is one of the most important things I own and I would never do anything that risky in it...

as long as you dont brake your spine, you r in good shape.
Time to put in fatter rims for more traction

I was watching a rally/tour over the weekend, Steve Millen (Stillen fame) was a competitor in his GT40. Sealed but very rough back roads though a country area, he's an extremely experienced professional and even he took a lil bit of caution over gravel areas.
Hard lesson learned I guess Redman333, glad to hear it isn't terminal for you or your Z.

Hey everybody the owner of this threads computer died. But to answer some of the questions. The tires were toyos and he spun passing on the right emergency lane. His computer will be back online with some pics in about two days. The suspension is alright though. VDC was off also. The width of the rim doesn't matter he already has 10 1/2 in wide in the rear and 9 1/2 in front.

That was incredibly unwise...lucky for him he didn't hit someone parked there with a flat tire or similar EMERGENCY condition. Don't do that ever again!!

My 2 cents.

You should buy one of these instead of driving a Z or any other high power vehicle:

Please stay off the road until you get one as you're a hazard to other drivers...

Believe me I'm not one of those guys. The road I was on was a back road in the middle of the night, I could see what was in front of me for a good distance. I try not to do anything stupid around other people and other drivers, I would feel bad if I hit someone else.

The gravel wasn't what really mested me up, but as soon as I started sliding I had drove over a drainage grate that dipped down a little. When it dipped down my back end just kicked out before I could catch it. I don't think I'm the best driver but I do think I'm better than the average. This is actually the first time I've ever lost control of a car since I got my license. I'm 22 now and got my licenese when I was 16.
