When I saw the first prototype for the 350Z a while back I said, "That's nice." It was a cool looking car but nothing to get excited about. It certainly followed the styling lines of the old 240 but that was about it. I just wasn't excited.
Step up one Pueguot executive.
OMG what a dream the new Z is! This is the exactly what GI Joe needs to deck Ken with and steal Barbie once again. Ever since the current Z prototype was shown off, I've been a drooling mutt, salivating at the prospect of running wild on some wide open Texas freeway.
Then a strange thing happened.
Nissan decided to throw me a curve ball. They introduced the G35 coupe. Essentially a stretched Z, the G35 has the most beautiful lines I have seen on four wheels in a while. While the Z screems "Boy Racer" the G says "Enduring Classic." There is no doubt in my mind that the G35 is going to be a home run.
When the G comes out (projected in October) I will give both cars a complete once and twice over. I think I'm going to have a hard time making up my mind.
Dang French (that Peugout exec.), my decision was going to be an easy one until he let Infinity have the G. Thank God the Skyline is still a little ways off or I would be in huge trouble.

The G35 may or may not be popular when it's released, but it certainly will not be an enduring classic.
