Default Days like today when i wish i had a STI

Man oklahoma is crazy. Tuesday it was about 75-80 degrees outside. Today I wake up at a friends house and go outside to my car to leave. The ground is covered with snow. All roads are iced over. I slid through one major intersection in town but luckily for me they are doing work on it so its a 4 way stop and people were kind enough to let me slide without interference. All i have to say it thank god for tcs. Ide have wrecked my car probably had i not had it. But tcs or not its days like today i wish i had 4 wheel drive.

You could just buy a thick parka and a snowmobile.

This, of course, assumes you live fairly close to work, and wouldn't get pulled over by the cops.

lol, actually my life sucks when i think about work today. I deliver pizza, not in my 350 mind you, and i dont know if they are going to want me to deliver tonight with the roads like they are. Worst part, if i do have to deliver, its in a RWD ranger.

I actually did have some fun with the ice though. I found this big empty parking lot and had a bit of fun.

Which would do absolutely nothing for the ice he mentioned.

Just move to Texas . . . you don't have to worry about snow, ice (just on occassion) or storing your Z for the winter. You can enjoy your Z year-round . . . almost.

I feel your pain, man. Two days ago here in Ohio, sunny and 60 (!). Today, rain but still warm. Tomorrow, cold, snow showers, and a high degree of suck. The fun is over for this year.

That is a very good point. It would not matter what you had in that. A lot of people think that their SUV or AWD car is invincible, but ice will put everybody on an even playing field. Just be safe and even then you just never know.

^^ Damn straight, we just had over a foot of snow in the denver area and I drove my Z right through it with snow tires. Trucks, SUV's, subaru's all over the side of the road and ditches, and I did just fine. When there is ice, etc you just cant have any type of accelleration (in the physics meaning, aka, no hard turning, stoping, or gas). Just have to take it slow and easy, and usually I start the car out in 2nd or 3rd gear, and she starts out just fine. Snow tires are a big help though... that's for sure.

I actually had to help another person with a FWD honda out of a ditch with the Z, we got them out after some hard work, but never diss the Z in the snow...

Yep...here in dallas...i got off work yesterday at 5 or so...went home washed the car and put it up in the gagare...it was about 70...6pm...by 640 it was 50...freezing by midnight and raining.

edit...i have the tilton street so i planned on parking my car for a while when i heard about the weather on the way. Ice one the road...it would be faster for me to walk to work.

I live between Joplin and Springfield, Mo and we just got hit by this ****. A limb off a huge oak tree fell into the roof of my garage and is now setting on my SS and one of my dads harleys, another limb knocked a hole in part of the roof. i fking HATE winter. there is 3+ inches of ice on the tree's and power/phone lines. Transformers have been exploding all morning leaving ppl w/o power. I don't even wanna attempt to drive in it even with the SS being awd.

This is the exact reason I am happy I moved from upstate New York. I just do not miss the cold and snow at all. Some people love the cold and snow, just not me. Biggest danger I face on the roads here are the tourists. That could be just as bad as snow
