I suspected weather related accidents. Primarily new drivers on snow and ice. What we are seeing are high speed single vehicle accidents not related to either snow or ice. Very interesting.

my z will be perfectly in tact as i cruise the mean streets in my escort station wagon with no abs and an automatic tranny! talk about a serious pos. but when you are 360'ing because of ice or snow in that thing its almost funny.

never realized it was a big deal to drive in the snow until this winter with all the posts on this board.

the one time I saw it I wasn't driving, but didnt really think it could be much worse then heavy rain, guess I was wrong!

I think this is incredibly sad to see another Z wrecked. Driving to the conditions and perhaps a tad of inexperience. But we all have to learn.

if you have to drive a sports car in the snow then you dont have enough money to own one.
A person who buys such a car needs to have another car for winter.
And not only is a z not the best car for the snow all of the aluminum underneath is bare and the road salt will eat the aluminum heavely.

why buy a nice car and destroy it in the winter

I just got my Z in December. After the down payment and whatnot, I had nothing leftover to spend on winter tires. I live in MA (brutal winters) and drove my car to and from work every day on the summer tires without incident. Just go slow... ****ing slow, and you won't have a problem. SUV drivers blow by me in the snow and I think to myself "This is the only time you're allowed to drive faster than me."
