it isn't a sink plug and it's painted with automotive paint and clearcoated.

I bought the parts myself and it cost me more and looked like crap

yeah, porting and polishing is something ricers do. good luck with that.

and making a CAI is not ghetto, it's called not being a moron and spending 200 bucks for a peice of rubber tubing that does nada

and teh car looks much better without a wiper and the plug is smaller than a quarter and berly noticable.

Get a "NOS" sticker. It'll add 10 RWHP.

Clean the interior of your Z. Yourself.
It will at least make you feel like you've added 35hp to the wheels...

or

Ask to borrow a neighbor's sedan, drive it for awhile, then return to your Z.
You will feel better about your car and yourself for owning it.

Even if it was a '93 civic, it's not a corolla.

Find an empty parking lot in the rain. Set up two cones. Drive around the cones in a figure-eight. As you gain confidence, increase speed. This mod will not make the car faster, but you will be a better driver. And its free.

How far apart do you recommend the cones should be?

About 100 feet. You can judge because you need some distance after completing a turn to make corrections and get up some speed.

There is not really a cut and dry answer to your question.... especially without factoring in the type of race... and regardless of the type of race it will always be more convoluted than a simple "you need X amount of hp for X amount of pounds". Some people around here call it ricer math....

Spray paint the strutbar cover in the back so it matches the black plastic around it. Just cover the Z symbol with painters tape and spray away. It looks really good.
