What do you think of this?
Make a long story short, hope to get some feedback if this has ever happened to anyone here. I bought a 04 basic in May with 22,000 miles, $23,000 out the door from my local Nissan dealer. A few weeks ago I was backed into in a parking lot, damage to the front bumper, right front quarter, right headlight, and right front wheel. The guys insurance is paying for everything, no problem. The problem is I get a call from the bodyshop manager and he tells me there is some previous damage to the car on the right door and rocker and the paint is not good and it needs to be corrected and repainted, estimate around $800.00 for that. I call the sales manager and told him they never disclosed damage to me, and of course he gave me all the legal BS. I told him if the car was correctly checked that the previous damage sould have been seen and I think they have made a mistake, and I'm pissed. He does some research, and guess what, he finds out that the car had some slight damage to it, and somehow it was not disclosed to me, hey at least he was honest about that. Of course I not happy about this news, but being a business manager myself, I remain calm and ask them what they are going to do about the suitation. Talked to the GM the following day and he said they would fix the damage at no charge. Should I accept this minimal offer or go for more, I have a call in to my lawyer, hopefully he will call tomorrow. By the way the color is Daytona Blue, will they be able to match this correctly. Thanks for any feedback.
Accept it, but have them throw in a nismo CAI and exhaust or wheels as a kick back to keep you from taking legal action. I am sure they will be able to make it happen, since it is body maybe even a nismo body kit.
Somewhere else I think somone got a free exhaust when a dealer ****ed up thier car or something, can't find the thread at the moment.
