backed my Z into a wall...geez...
so sunday night was my company's holiday christmas party out in Pasadena, CA. I live in Anaheim and my date for the party lives in Norwalk. So i drive over to get her and i started backing into her driveway. as i'm backing up i spied a wall that sticks out of the house as part of the fence to close the driveway gate on the driver's side that was coming up pretty closely. so i gave myself enough room and continued to back up. all of a sudden i hear a BOOM and grind...i pull forward and get out of my car and bam, there is my bumper and a small part of my quarter panel scratched and dented. the damn wall sticks out about 1 foot further like 2 feet from the ground!! i never even saw it cuz it was below my line of sight!!!
so now i get to take the car in for an estimate and since i got bumper and quarter panel, its gonna be pricey..
maybe i can get enough from my insurance company to get it fixed and then some...but we'll see
sorry for the rant but this made me pretty angry....i havent driven the car in 2 days cuz i cant stand to see what i've done to it....
PICS ADDED

mainly so she didnt have to have a hard time getting in like having to worry about the door hitting the wall and stuff...
lol go figure this would happen

party was really nice. i had an awesome date that kept the incident off my mind the whole night
didnt like the music too much though...they had a female mariachi band (which is cool by me) just that was the only music they had all night.
good food too!
so all in all it was a bad night. just got off to a bad start

Thats why you never 'back-in' especially in a new loaction. Its not worth the convenience. Foward in with headlights and that would never have happened. Backing out is oK since you've already observed the area while going in head first. Make sense? SOrry, People who back into spots are a peeve of mine. What are they trying to do? make some quick escape? never get the logic. Sux though...
