I did the same with my 03 enthusiast Z. I lost control on a backroad and hit a power pole!! Car totalled, still getting heckeled at work. The car though saved your life and mine.

It is finally setting in for me how lucky I am and how much I already miss the Z

 

That's why I only drive a max of 2/3 of the car's limit on the streets. I save the other 1/3 of the limit to keep from crashing if I screw up or hit something unexpected. DO NOT push the limits of your car on the streets, because this is what happens when you do.

Save the really hard driving for the track.

You are very, very lucky to be alive. And you are very, very, very lucky your insurance is paying for it.

Hopefully you have learned your lesson. At least then you will get something from this.
