It's an '03 with a MT. It was in a Nissan service bay most of the time.

I'm guessing it's a 2003 model since you said 4 years. It's possible to have 23k miles IF the person only drove it on weekends for a little cruise in the sun or just tracked it every now and then.

I'm not very sure on what you should check on, but i would guess you should check for any tranny wear since it's an 03 and 03's had a pretty bad tranny problem. Make sure someone checks out the VIN for any recent problems that the owner just happened to not mention... that's all i can think of since im not a car mechanic...

For sure though, take it to a mechanic and check if the guy did track it with some type of FI and if theres any internal problems. Also check his odometer incase he rolled back his numbers.

get extended warranty too

Drive the car. How does it shift?
Does it have new front tires and used rear tires? Not a good sign.
Do both windows go up and down?

If you like it then go for it.

^^ for shifting.. well you'll probably stall it a billion times for about a year, but for the tires. If the front is fresh and the rear is almost gone and worn out, it means the owner is cheap and only bought 2 tires and he probably did burnouts/tracked it cuz he's gonna downgrade to a civic.

LOL. Maybe a local 350Z driver will go with you to check it out. New front tires hide any potential feathering problems.

If you are going to spend $18,000 then buy a CarFax subscription.

The '03 model with a MT has the most common 350Z problems. If you do a search, you can read all about them. A lot of '03, '04 and some '05 models, had front end problems which causes premature tire wear.

My 04 will be 3 years old in January and will have just about 25,000 miles on it. Daily driven, several road trips of over 1,000 miles each. If it's somebody's weekend toy or fair weather ride, then it's real easy to have only 6K/year on it.

ya but wasnt there a recall to fix that problem. I mean, this should still be under warranty right so if anything goes wrong, i can just get it fixed for free. Right?

and davesz#3, sorry about that, i didnt know.

You don't know how to drive a manual, yet you are going to buy a manual car?
