Default My Z topped out at 140mph

I was on the freeway and it hovered around 140mph... wtf?
guess this is cuz of general wear? not that I have any business going over that.. but still. I've got 30k on my z. I've hit little over 150 when it was newer.

Since when can Zs hit 150mph in 5th gear? ...I'm not even gonna say anymore.

BTW, who cares if your car can't go that fast. Your car looks better than most Zs around. I would get that checked out though, just in case. Also, I have 46K miles and I can still do 150+ (on the computer of course).

I have no idea what mods you have, but a wing generating downforce will also create drag. Oversize, heavy wheels don't help, either. One of the guys on AZ350Z.com had the same question, and he was guilty of on both of those charges.

Default Z's got the yips!

I've taken my stock machine to 145 at 5200 rpm, with that kind of headroom I've no doubt I'll max it out... happy holiday y'all.

You dont have that many miles on your car. Actually if you look at most magazine performance statistics, most care are faster at 40K miles than they are new. Slightly off topic, but if a Z does 0-60 in 5.5 secs new then i would bet at 40K miles it would do it in about 5.1-5.2.

OOOOOOHHHHHHH!

Now me and the mad scientist have to tear the engine apart and replace the piston rings you fried.
