I need some help here if you from vancouver canada, or if you know anything about insurance~
ok ~just went to icbc claim cebtre today cuz my car got broken in and the monitor , dvd player got stolen ....
but icbc will only cover me $$1000 on that...
the problem is if i go to any audio shops with icbc's paper saying its a icbc claim...do i have to get the exactly the same models i had before or i can get any models i want then pay for the difference?????

With any insurance claim they will only cover you up to the amount in your policy regardless of how you decide to replace the parts. Generally you can have the money sent to the shop you are getting the work done, or have the insurance company cut you the check.

 

so basically what you meant is i can decide which model to get , dont have to be the same models i had before right. then i will just pay the price difference ?

 

Yeah basically. Give you an example. I had my sub, amps, HU, and other things stolen from my civic 6 months ago. The insurance company cut me a check for $7000.00. I sold the civic and used the money to buy another car.
