From one MinneZotan to another, I concur that Zs are rare around these parts. I've lost count of the number of people who've asked me what kind of car that is. Even my neighbor, who is on her 4th or 5th Nissan vehicle asked me what kind of car that was. It's nice to have something that stands out, and even in the winter with the top up and the snow tires on, I still get a lot of stares. Probably wondering if I'm crazy driving a car like this in the snow...

I've been asked if it's a porsche and I've also had people ask if it's FWD or RWD. Pretty much both ends of the scale.

The dumbest thing I ever got was when Carousel Audi called me last month in response to a web form I filled out for info on the new TT Roadster. The lady who called asked what I was currently driving -- I told her a 350Z -- and she asked me if it was Quattro...?????

Yeah? Except, it happened. And if I didn't already say so, I was pretty surprised by it the first time. Did you even read the post all the way through?

Stop yer disbelief and try one on for size. Or are you too chicken to even try it??? Cause if you are, maybe you think Scion TC's are at the edge of street comp for the Z...

I also want to add Scion TC's and a Mini Cooper S to that list of cars I've burned.

Now, if you want to read something that actually is funny, try this: https://my350z.com/forum/showpost.ph...5&postcount=58

350Z are just another import here. There's likely four or five dozen in my city. Including mine there are three within a one block radius of my house. The Porsche 911 is closer to what you're experiencing - there's just four or five of them I've seen around here.

Now the Corvette .... there's got to be 75-100 of them in my city.

Down here in Costa Rica there are less than 20 Z's in the whole country... which makes it a quite exotic car for our environment...

There are lots and lots of BMW's, Mercedes, Audi and the such and most of them are totally caught off-guard when trying to compete against my pretty much stock Z... I assume that some of them could actually win most races, but the drivers just get cocky behind their car emblems

Someone once said the best thing about a Z is that is has looks and performance without a snooty badge! Not that I wouldn't mind having an AMG...

Right down the road fromm you in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area and we have tons of them running around as well, in the DFW area in general there are lots of 350z's roaming around.

I bought my Z new in Bossier City, LA. And everyone has one. I get back here to Southeast Missouri, and it's like I'm driving an exotic, haha. I have alot of people think it's a Porsche, even a few ask if it's a V12....... yeah, it's a V12 minus six cylinders. Apparently, no one drives them here, even dealers don't have any. Everyone drives Mustangs and F-Bodies.

I see Z's around St.Louis from time to time but most are stock
except for the 2 members i've seen from this forum.

My X-Girlfriends Dad that always talked to me about boosting my Z someday.
I was like once i make some more money. It will happen eventually.
My Ex's Dad has a DD a Gs400 and his weekend car is a Porsche GT2.
I've driven the Porsche... love that thing.
I also love my Z to death tho.

I get sick and tired of mustang drivers around here, they all act like their car is the fastest thing around and the sweetest car on the planet, it must just be a natural reaction when they get behind the wheel of the worlds most over rated p.o.s.

Ford mustangs are like tampons, every ***** needs one

Zs are underestimated. Especially around a turn. Remember that alot of the Z was derived from porshe , alot of the tech, the shape the numbers the amount of Gs etc where all numbers to compete with the boxer series porshe which it does . Zs shine around the track thats where the street cred is for it. In the 1/4 yea the Z performs well, but its suspension wasnt designed for it etc neither the weight. The Z was designed to understeer and was designed for a none 50/50 ratio. I love the track stats of the car. And love when its on a track alot of people are surpirsed at what it can do. Its a platform with great potential.

i raced a stock mustang gt with exhaust on
20 roll on the highway.
he was talking a lot of crap.
well 20 roll he got the lead but i caught up to him at like 85-90 and started passing him and as i got about a car on him. I just slowed down.

Guy was impressed and never gonna think the same about another Z lol

I live in a suburb of St. Louis and when I first got my Z in '04 they were a rare site. Nowadays, I see a couple on the road everday. It was one of the reasons I got one but not the main one of course.
In my part of town the most common sports cars are Camaros and Mustangs. I can't tell you how much I hate domestic cars, so when some redneck pulls up next to me sounding like his car is goin' to blow up, I don't hesitate showing him what a practically stock Z can do.
