Smile 350z's underestimated as just another import

I don't about the rest of you, but where I live Z's are a rare breed, you'll be lucky to see 1 a month, besides mine of course.I found out that becuase their a rare car their also underestimated by a lot of other drivers as just being another 4-cylinder import, which can actually turn out to be kinda fun in the end.

So anyways, i was sitting at a stop light and something like an 06' malibu SS pulls up besides me and the driver asks me if i think my cars got anything, or something stupid like that, I responded "you're kidding right",and the light turns green, he squeek's his tires, and away I was and all I see are his headlights in my review mirror, and another one bites the dust.

I'm just curious if something like this has ever happened to you and what type of car the person was driving, just to see how much people underestimate Z's.

Even though Zs are a dime a dozen here, some people just don't keep up with imports. I visited a friend of mine at her house once and her parents looked out the window and said "oh my god, who's pretty porsche is that in the front of our house?"

I just moved from Royal Oak out here to Bellevue. They're definitely a rare breed out there, the Z.

I had a guy in an older audi S4 (with 2 passengers mind you) try to get cute with me one day.... muscling around like he had a fast car.... he really thought he was going to take me out. After I encouraged him to take the hit from a roll... I proceeded to put a buslength on him.... lol getting squirrelly when you hit third is always a good show from behind... Afterwards I rolled my window down and he asked "OK! what all have you done???" I say Nothin'... To which he literally yells at me "BULLSHT!!!!!!" and mumbles to his passengers "thats such bullsht" ... 2 passengers and a slower car to begin with... wtf do you expect.

It wasn't the newer style.... it was the B5 S4. 250hp 3600lbs + 340lbs in passengers.... AWD certainly didn't do him any favors from a roll either. I actually had a K&N drop in, no spare/tools... a gutted rear interior... and a completely empty tank of gas. He didn't know what he was in for...and it was a raping indeed.

It must have been a stock S4 because properly chipped with a few mods they can be very fast.

I agree.. But this one obviously wasn't chipped... and even if he was making 330 at the crank I still would have beat him in this scenario... it certainly wouldnt have been by a buslength though.

Needless to say I bet he has a chip now... or doesn't sleep on/race Z's anymore..

Z's are fairly common were I'm at, but not as common as those damn srt-4's are the crazy kids that "pilot" them!
