1. Chrome wheels suck, as has been said.
2. Z emblem in AC ducts is nothing new, also what has been said.
3. They really should have waited to debut this new engine with a body redesign. Although the power improvement is nice, from the description, I can do the MREV-2 mod and get my missing low-end torque back and be similar. Otherwise, like if they said the new rating is 293, thats a gain of 13 hp and a little bit of torque. No reason for me to trade up if its just the engine.

Well I was at a stealership last friday getting my Z checked out for Oil consumption issues and I happend to find their secret stash of 07 Z's.
So I managed to get into one of them, I cranked the car up and it was
to say the least a bit softer sounding then my current 06. I didn't bother driving it as there is little difference in power gains from my 06, not to mention its been modified a bit already 2 so I didnt see the point in driving it
or for that matter even consider buying one. I think the 07 is over hyped, the initial review written is good but ummmm if you had driven the 06 then the 07 I doubt you would have noticed much a difference.

I don tthink so. If open the hood, you will se that it barely fits the engine and strut bar.

It does have true dual, at least their version of it. Those that know what to look for and have looked have responded numerous times on this site. Still waiting on pix though or one to show up at my dealer to verify myself.

The difference from the 04 is drastic, but not so different from the 06 model I currently have. The 07 feels much more peppy down low compared to the revup engine. The best way to describe this engine would be to say that it has the low end torque of the early VQ and the top end of the Revup. It is a fantastic engine. The ride, interior, and overall driveability are exactly the same as the 06. The hood is really the only difference and it didn't look that bad however, I still maintain that the previous hood looks much better. It has a strange side view. Other than that, it isn't that big a deal. Instead of upgrading I will more than likely just get a TT kit. Still a great car, great price, and now more fun than before....

it's obvious that this hood was to fit the HR.

I own a 2004.5 model. The 06 model wasn't worth the upgrade nor is the 2007 model for me. I might change my mind when there is a drastic improvement of torque/hp as in 20% more or so. Lately a lot of cars have come out with improved engines, which all have a bigger gain in torque/hp than the 07 Z has. I think Nissan underestimated the importance of increasing the numbers. Ok, it might run smoother and have more torque along the whole rpm line, but it won't do. Especially if you take the fact that they don't really want to change the engine significantly in the next 5 years. I reckon they will change it slightly in the future, as they did to the 06 revup engine.
However, as I said before, I don't think it will be enough with the ongoing war of having more hp/torque and higher mpg that other manufacturers have started.
