Front Plate location
Here in Vegas, it gets from a balmy 105 to a warm 114 degrees in the summer months. This caused me some concern because of the placement of the front plate, and that it might interfere with the flow of air.
Just received an E-mail from NNA wherein they state "I contacted our Technical Support line and inquired about the situation..I was informed that the positioning of the front license plate will not interfere with the flow of air to the intake or cause over heating, as it was tested and designed for all types of weather conditions."
I sure hope they are right.

They conveniently forgot to tell you that the plate location makes your Z look like sh*t. We here at my350Z.com will find a suitable location for the front plate. The experts here are on the case.
If I find that there are threaded inserts or whatever in the front "bumber" for mounting that frame I am going to get some chrome hole plugges and put them in there. They come in different sizes and I am sure I will find some that fit. They can be left as chrome finish or be anodized to get close to my Daytona Blue paint. I don't care about the front plate law in Cal, screw it!

I think past threads have indicated that there are only 2 "small dimples" in the front bumper as an indication for location of the plate. No holes ... thank GOD.

Yes! I saw those dimples when I went for a viewing. But I believe that those will be holed and hardwared for the plate frame. I hope I am wrong.
As a recent past owner of a '99 Miata, I can tell you that there were/are all sorts of options in placing a license plate away from the conventional/manufacturer-dictated location on the smooth and curvaceous front bumper. The Z will be no different. The grille area of the car looks to be similar to the Miata, and that's where most Miata afficionados placed their plate. Visit Miata.net and do a simple search and you'll find all sorts of discussion, photos, etc. on the subject. As for hampering cooling, it's not a problem, as cooling air is sucked through the radiator from numerous locations other than the grille area. I expect you'll soon see someone creating a license bracket custom-fitted to the needs of Z owners for that "twenty-nine-ninety-nine" price soon after deliveries begin.
