There was an non-metallic orange offered from 70 thru 73 - Maybe it was intended as a updated retro thing. It does look better in person than in pictures because the metallic is more noticeable. Not sure if it's something I would want for the long term though.

I was just at the dealer 2nite lookin to buy the 07' 350z and saw that new color. My friend and I were saying the color looks very similar to the Lambo's OJ color but I wasnt feelin that color. IMO, its just to flashy but nice color.

I thought i'd post a better pic of the car...the ones everyone sees are always indoors at a dealership or under lighting...and it looks sorta crappy...
(fortunately...I don't drive my car indoors..lol)

You have to see the car outside in full sunlight before you make an opinion..really...

The color needs sunlight to show off....parked in the garage, it's a creamy orange (dreamsicle almost)...but outside in full sun....it totally rocks!

Agree that picture does much more justice than the first post picture. I think it's a very sharp color with clear taillights. The stock red LEDs look strange. Red and orange are not complementary.

Yeah, SO looks amazing in direct sunlight, I can look at my car all day when it hits the sunlight. As for the clear jdm led lights, I just installed mine and it looks much cleaner than the red leds.

That color looks really hot. I wish my dealer had the solar orange on the lot. But i could wait any longer to get an 07 so i got a blue one.

That's right...let them hate. Anyone can sport black...and I see two a day. I love my SO...get loads of compliments and turn a lot of heads. For those who want to see a better shot of the color, look at the close-ups in my pics. This is actually a tri-stage paint job, loaded with pearl/gold flake that explodes in the sun. You can also check out the link to my pics...

Don't take this the wrong way, but that photo doesn't even begin to do Solar Orange justice. It's actually an awesome color, but you'd never tell by looking at this shot... Try less direct light. Bright colors photograph better in subdued lighting.

good pics guys.

I had an entire team of Soul cheerleaders (Some minor league football team owned by Bon Jovi)staring at my Solar Orange yesterday in awe.
I personally love the color.
Just to see people purposely walk up to it in the back of a mall parking lot and check it out. I catch people doing this all the time.
Got compliments about 30 min ago at lowes too from some of the workers there

Solar Orange is a great color for the Z. This is a sports car and this color helps it stand out even more. In the sunlight it is gorgeous. Some of the other colors are just to boring.
