Angry Enthusiast & Navigation

I've noticed that the Navigation system is not offered with the Enthusiast and Base models. Will it be a simple task to install the Nissan Navigation unit (factory wiring harnesses already in place) into one of these models or will it be a very complicated task?

I don't know. But you know how when you set out to get something done in 2 hrs. it always takes you four?

It will NOT be a simple task. I am not even sure if the Nissan system can be installed aftermarket. However, there are several GPS systems that can be installed. I do not think they will work as well, though (and they're more expensive when you consider installation costs). There are numerous sensors that must be installed, not to mention the GPS antenna. The nissan system uses GPS and gyroscopic sensors to pinpoint your location with greater accuracy.

Intrepid - Thankx for the info. Even more complicated than I expected. Looks like no Navigation system for me.

Nissan NAV = Factory only reason why...its integrated with the car computer and is more than just a NAV

Aftermarket It will cost you more to get this than to upgrade to the performance model with factory nav
