Can I top off my resevoir with non-nissan coolant?

Default Can I top off my resevoir with non-nissan coolant?

Is it cool if I get the same blend type...or are they all basically the same. Whats the deal, Im running a little low on coolant but don't feel like driving all the way don to the dealership to get my coolant toped offed.

I dont think it would be ahuge problem if it was low from the beginning, but if you are loosing coolent, then you have a problem. It is a sealed unit, so the only way to loose it is if it is leaking somewhere.

The only guideline that I've heard is that some coolant/antifreeze is basically a 2-year version and some a 5-year version. Therefore, you should supplement with the same blend. (No, I don't know which the Z has.) Other than that, you should have no problem.

It's reasonable that the level could go down slightly over time - due to evaporation in the overflow tank if nothing else - but if it seems to go down more than "slightly", you could have a small leak somewhere and would need to get it checked out.

Default Another idea.........

Just pour in a bottle of redline water wetter or royal purple- purple ice.. Both products are good for temp reduction and mix perfectly with any oem system.. Used it in all my cars... both are highly recommended and work.......
