For those who have not own an Acura RSX Type-S and a Nissan 350Z, I can definitely tell you guys why I have converted from an Acura to a Nissan.
I love the feeling of punching it everytime I shift and VTEC kicking in @ 5800 RPM's, especially with an Injen CAI and Injen exhaust. I can drool just thinking about. The Types-S is has a lot of room for potential, but I've decided against modding the Type-S.
Yes, I traded my '06 Type-S for an '07 350Z. So far I only have 400 miles on it, and I love it. I can feel the difference in power, and it is very obvious when it pulls the Z at low RPMs. No, I have not taken the vehicle above 4000 RPMs... maybe a couple of times, but no further than 5000 RPMs during the break in period. The vehicle is amazing.
The bottom line is that I've escaped the Honda/Acura racing theme for something better. Don't get me wrong. Honda/Acura's make great cars. I prefer an Acura TL over a Nissan Maxima anyday. When it comes to a sports compact, the Type-S is cheaper but you pay for what you get. The 350z is definitely a better sports coupe than a Type-S. I was going to purchase a base Z, but I couldn't live without a 6-disc CD changer. I forgot to mention the Bluetooth also. That thing is awesome, especially with a 6-speed manual. You can't get that on an RSX. Just my 2¢
