Oh great just lost everything I was typing to post and now get to retype it all over again now. great.

What I was trying post was thank God I have a beater.

I have a lot of crap going on right now as is and to top it all off, I was just backed into 2 hours ago by some dumb B!tch in her PT Cruiser all her fault. She even had previous damge (fairly heavy) on the same part that hit my truck. She blows at backing up. When they were getting into her PT Cruiser she was kinda pre occupied yelling at her kid, well not really yelling but kinda pissed at the kid.

She was parked kinda crooked in her spot and when she backed out, she never straigthend her wheel out and just keep going at the same fugged up angle. I laid on my horn but she didn't stop until she hit me, then stopped and pulled foreward. ERRRRRRRRRRRR Hello HORNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!

Anyway I'm not going to retype everything I spent 15 minute typing so I'll just sum up, glad I have a beater. If she would have hit my Z instead, I would have gone to jail just for my language and the poor kid would have been metally scared by my words to his Mom for life but lucky it was just my truck, so I didn't blow my stack. Any idea how hard it would be to match redline paint.

Have had my truck for 10.5 years and not a single door ding, then this. Was planing on selling it later this year and buy a new beater but **** don't know if I want a new one now or not.

She was actually pretty nice about it. When I saw them get into there car I thought they were Mexican since 95% of the people in that area of the lot are but she was Hawaiin and spoke English quite well, thank God. Yes she had insurance.

The damge to my truck was 1/4" deep 6" long crease/scratch/paint transfer on the drivers rear fender in front of the tail light.

Well end up retyping most of it anyway. Blah hate typing **** twice. I more pissed about retyping this than my dumb truck LOL

Good ol trusty 1994 Teal Green Mazda Protege DX. Gets 39mpg (no kidding), runs like a tank, and I can park it anywhere and no one will touch it. 126K on the ODO and it will probably go another 126K without an issue.

Best $1700 I've ever spent.

My Z is my daily driver. It won't always work though as snow makes the roads here pretty atrocious (wow, I spelled that right on my first try!). I'm thinking I'll be getting a "real" beater sometime before this upcoming November although my wife doesn't want me to yet. Right now if it's bad enough I take my wife's Subaru to work (dropping her off at her job in the process).

I'm thinking about getting an old Sentra or something. Someone should start a thread asking what the best cheapo beater is... maybe a mid-90's Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Subaru, etc?

98 Honda Accord coupe V-6 with 109,000 miles on it. The Z stays in the garage unless there is no snow or no rain! Which incidently, the Z hasn't seen much road time lately
