just mod your 2006, some guy just posted a dyno of his 06 with mrev2+ spacer and exhaust. He made more HP and torque till about 6000 rpms than the new 07. Im pretty sure it's on the same dyno as well.
The first dyno is the vq35hr.

I have an 06 currently(had an 04 also) and drove the 07. There really isn't enough change for me to justify the trade. The hood looks alot better on the 06 anyways. The engine is really a toss up. I was expecting a really different feeling, but I didn't think too much of it to be frank. I just decided to wait on the redesign for 09 and by that time I'll have a good idea about the GT-R as well. The engine doesn't mean much to me simply bc whatever I get will get FI...so its all about the design for me. All I care to have are TT's and a Navigation system...

It's not worth the hit I'd take.

Don't do it, its not even worth it. You have an '06 which is almost similar to '07 except the hood which isn't like getting a Mustang V8 over a Mustang V6. Your better off saving money for a future car, or a more updated, new look Z which I think will happen in a few years. They will take a big bite out of your '06 in depreciation. I have an '05 with almost 9K miles, and I love to have an 06/07, but it does not justify me losing money over more horses and new front look. If they made 100+HP, or a twin-turbo, then I would jump on it.

Its worth it comming from a modded 04 to an 07. I can feel the differnce big time. For me I wouldnt be able to stand my 04 untill the re design because I would have close to 100,000 miles by then and the interior was all messed up. So for you with the 06 .... if you got the money to burn then why not. If your tight then hold off.
