How many of you have a front plate?
I still have mine on but i think im going to take it off today, has anyone gotten a ticket for no front plate? here in NY you are required to have a front plate but with it I think it looks weird,

I find it more important to have my front tag on so I don't have a recurring $200 fine here in Richmond thank you very much. As nice as it would be to have the front open, I follow the rules as best I can.

I didnt want the plate on my front bumper so i got a Z-bracket that hooks onto the lower black grill. I didnt put the plate on my last car because of a bodykit, i had it in the front windshield for about a year and recieved 3 tickets from it. I had to go to court and had to lie to the judge and tell him "someone backed into my bumper, it cracked and thats why i didnt have the plate on but its on now" and they threw the ticket out. Although 2 times i got pulled over the cop said he stopped me because no front plate really stands out, the 3rd time i got a speeding ticket. Personally i hate the way a plate looks on the front of a car but with the Z-plate bracket it is very clean and easy to install

You might want to check with DMV, loacal police, or whoever to see if no front plate alone is justification for a traffic stop.
As an example, in some states if you are driving the legal speed limit, signalling turns, lane changes, etc. but the cop sees your are not wearing a seatbelt, he can not stop you solely on the no seat belt charge.

I got a fix it ticket for not having a front plate here in California. Fix it ticket was only $15. Now I have the Z bracket. Having the front plate makes the car look ugly in my opinion.

I never had the front plate attached since the day I bought my car.
I did actually get caught but it was actually for speeding, then the police
noticed that I didn't have front plate and
he just gave me a ticket for that instead of speeding ticket
Needless to say I was happy that I got off with $10 fix-it-ticket instead
of speeding ticket that will cost me hundreds of dollars.
What I'm saying is that cops around my area usually don't pull you
over just because you don't have the front plate...and I live in Cali.
