It could be worse...My girlfriend lives just south of Nashville and that's where the Nissan plant is. When I'm there, I see at least one every time I'm on the road.
Still, it doesn't mean that it's not a great car! It's still not as ordinary and everyday as other cars out there.

The 350Z is made exclusively in Japan, so I don't think that will increase your odds of seeing one by the girlfriends house if that's what you meant.

Apart from my friend who also has one(how we met), I see maybe 1 every other day. I bought it to drive it, not have people look at me. I see it as an opportunity to meet others with similar interests or tastes. But, I'm not in a big city either other wise I probably wouldn't feel the same.

psychedelic one
I'm in California and I drive 50+ miles a day to and from work mostly on the 405. I can honestly say that I can go a few days without seeing another Z on the freeway. I see the same stock DB at the health spa everyday, but rarely see another. It's kind of nice.

I see tons of them here in the Tampa Bay area everyday, but I'm always on the road for work so that increases my odds of seeing more...my coworker always points them out to me lol

I wish there were more where I live. I would like to start a club here or something but there are barely any Z's, yet a lone ones who are interested in their car and bought it for more than just looks.

"Sports cars, such as Nissan Motor's (nasdaq: NSANY - news - people ) 350Z two-door, are fairly low-volume, and therefore, low sellers. But this does not mean they are failures. After all, the world’s most desirable cars--Ferraris, Bentleys, Rolls-Royce's (other-otc: RYCEY - news - people ), etc.--are low-volume models"
From Forbes list of best and worst selling cars.
The 350z btw sold about 23 thousand last year, the lowest of all nissan's models
