You might find this amazing...
I've always keep a log on all my cars. I keep track of every gas fill-up, all service and anything important in the up-keep of my car. I was cleaning a book case and I found the log on my 1974 260Z which I bought new for $5420 + options & tax which brought the price to $6667.55! I even found the original window sticker in the book..
I was looking at the gas prices. I found a fill-up of Sunoco 260 which at the time was the highest octane you could buy.. I paid .33 cents a gallon!! That's right.. .33 cents a gallon.. The cheapest I had paid for gas was .17 cents a gallon for getty..
Thought you would enjoy this.. Guess I'm showing my age..
But.. the most amazing thing is I sold the car on April 9th,1979 which was 24 years ago tomorrow! It has 178,236 miles on it.

Gas Giveways
Yah, plus, you got all that free stuff - collectible glasses, green stamps, tiger tails for your tank, and I don't even remeber what else. We used to have books of green stamps and go to the green stamp store to redeem them for good stuff. Not sure if green stamps were everywhere.
