It would have been beautiful if you caught them in the act. This is unacceptable in any part of the country. I would imagine this type of thing happening like in the south or something but, Mary Land? Guess there are simple minded A hole uneducated bigots all over the place.

Unfortunately I can guarantee you the FBI has more important things to do that to investigate a crime like this. Yes, your situation is horrible and I feel sorry for you, but the best you can do is try and recoop whatever you can from your insurance. It sucks when people like that can get so jealous of another person and want to do something like that to a vehicle. SORRY ONCE AGAIN, THAT SUCKS.

Don't take it federal. Making racial and other hate crimes a federal offense didn't increase the severity of the punishment, it just buried it in red tape and made it harder to prosecute.

2 things:

Contact the local PD

Did as hard as you can to find out who it is. If you find the guy and you filed a report, 100% chance you'll get the full repair cost out of him in court. I've seen it happen. Twice actually.

 

Dude sorry this happened to you...hopefully you have protection against vandalism in your insurance policy (a must have if you own a Z!!)
