Maybe you guys can shed some light on this. I heard that the dealers will actually cary Nismo parts and S-tuned if installed by dealer will but completely under warranty.

Is that mean I can go the my dealer service center parts department and ask for Nismo stuff?

Will they have a turbo kit or a chip? Curious.

I wouldn't mind getting some light mods. Fuel injection, exhaust maybe chip or a turbo. Nothing rediculous.

----Yes

----Probably a chip, don't know about turbo. My guess is that Turbo would be R-tune, and not covered by warranty, but thats just my uneducated opinion.

Still it sounds pretty cool. A couple of mods that can change performance would be nice I don't want to mod the entire car.

Screw making my car faster. I'm gonna put a lift kit on my Z with 14" rims and moster truck tires. I was thinking about adding a second and third engine for future tractor pull competitions.

Cool, where can I get my urethane Sony Wing?

But sounds like Japanparts and companies that import JDM Nismo parts will still have lots of stuff we don't get in the U.S.

NNA will have a formal Nismo announcement to the public at the LA SEMA show on April 25th, this will include timing amongst other things.

Mr350Z, Why won't NNA acknowledge that there is a bounce/chop problem on the early Z's? I drove my dealer owners new Touring Z and it has no bounce. Dealer mechanic is blaming it on the 17" rims & 50 series tires. There are people here with early Z's & 18" rims with the problem too. We deserve an answer. Not a run around. The tire feathering is another issue many have. Glad to hear NNA is bringing NISMO here.

My dealer informed me that a factory turbo will be offered by mid summer, cost about $2800.00 plus labor, full factory warranty. Nissan engineering is located near by, the dealer has seen an early pre production model with 550 hp, have to wait and see what happens but this looks like it will be offered soon.

This is total BS. Not that I don't think this dream is great. It just won't happen.
