IMHO, vanity plates are for premadonnas and trailer queens...and putting anything with either:
a) Nissan
b) 350Z
c) Z33
in it is kinda tacky. If anything, I think a vanity plate should say a "witty" phrase. I saw a really hot girl driving an all fixed up MR2 Turbo a few months ago. As she drove by I said to myself, "damn." When I saw the back plate...it read, "DAYMN." I laughed cause it was true and she knew it. Another time a motorcycle cut me off in traffic. The plate read "XQUSEME," again, I laughed cause it was true and (s)he knew it. Double meaning plates could be cool too. But just putting something like "JAY350Z" or somekind of "ownership" tag is tacky. And putting something like "CVCKILR" only gives civic's props in a way because you would go to the extent to putting their car on yours. I saw a Suzuki TL1000 with a huge sticker that read, "One Liter Duck Killer" on it. Tacky. His envy of Ducatis was plastered all over the side of his bike and he didn't even know it...
2 cents.

Anything that makes it so Civics actually stay away from me is a good thing.

the problem is that because 87billon* people live in CA at least 100 million* are gonna have custom plates so most of the good ones are more than likely already taken.
go with one thats like a bunch of Qs so that when youre drifting/street racing** and people call the cops they wont be able to remember whether it was 7 Qs or 6 Os or 7 0s
thats some 1337 pwnage right there.
*highly exaggerated numbers
**racing/drifting on the street is highly illegal and frowned upon by many car enthusiasts such as the ones on this forum.
also: i know my spelling sucks so dont even bother pointing out my errors

Not quite related but a funny bumper sticker I saw on the interwebs today:
Don't like my blogging?
1-800-STFU-LOL
Also my fraternity brother in college had this plate on his Yamaha bike:
AB-NEG
He is now a brain surgeon... as a premed was in on Christopher Reeve's surgery.
