Ok, so a friend of mine named Mark I haven't talked to in a while called me out of the blue and said he saw a 350Z in San Diego! Here's how it went:

M - "Hey, I saw a 350Z on the road today. It was sweet looking."
N - "Are you SURE? 'Cause they aren't out yet, and I still haven't seen one in person."
M - "Now you're making me doubt, but I'm pretty sure. It had Z's all over it"
N - "Ok, take a look at these pics" (sends him my350z.com URL)
M - "Yeah, that's it, man! It was this kinda burnt orange metallic color."
N - "The Lemans Sunset? Scroll down and check out the pics marked 'VandyZ'"
M - "Yup, totally. I saw it on the way to work, off Genesee by Scripps. It looks badass. Very low to the ground. You made a good choice man."

Note: This is right by NNA La Jolla Design Center. So, if you're in that area, be on the lookout. I'm gonna take a detour on the way to work this morning and see if there are any parked. I'll take my camera just in case.

 

Confirmed, I also had a friend that saw the Lemans Z in San Diego last weekend.

 

First post for me, but I just wanted to tell you an interesting bit of information.

I followed that same Z to the parking lot of a shopping plaza where the driver got out and went to a nearby store. There, I proceeded to drool over the car. He comes back to mention that it was a "prototype". We chat a while and he proceeds to drive off leaving me with my jaw still on the floor.

I reveal my experience to my friend who interned at Nissan Design and I described the appearance of the driver. To which my friend believes the driver is a design engineer hired from Ducati to make ... a Nissan Motorcycle.

No facts, just word of mouth. But interesting none the less.

Could be, I saw that post. It might've been driving down to San Diego at the time.

So... I went by the Nissan Design Center to snoop around and look for Z's, but no dice. I tried nonchalantly waltzing around the premises, but then some people saw me and started pointing, and I had to run off to avoid capture.

I'm gonna try again this week/weekend... DAMN IT I WANT TO SEE ONE IN PERSON!!!
