I think that depends on the dealer and whatever terms they work out for you. I advise to go to a dealer and shop around. At this point I would say the answer to your question is a financing question. Good luck in your search. How many miles do you have on your 04?

What do you owe? Just trade it in and let the dealer rip you off!

Yes you can trade it in an it may cost you some money or it may not, that depends on if you are buying a cheaper z or a more costly z. It will end up costing you either way: 1- you will pay them more or 2: you will pay them nothing or get payed, but you will end up with a lower trim higher mileage Z.

Unless you put alot down, you are gonna be upside down. And if you did put alot down you basically will be throwing that away by trading in right now. I'd say make the best of it. From what i hear the autos are fantastic in these cars. I realize the need for a stick, but if there was an auto to have, it would be the one in the Z. But if you are dead set on trading, and gonan go upside down, might as well get a base '07. Prob only cost ya a couple grand more then you paid for yours. My two cents.

Of course you can trade it in. You will probably take a big $$$$ hit tho.
In 2006 an auto was fine but now you need a stick?
It would be in your best interest to hold on to it or sell it outright IMO.

You are probably negative unless you traded something that you had positive equity on or put a lot of money down, but as mentioned above. It's just throwing money away.

If we have 2 vehicles exactly the same: same year, model, mileage and condition, one will retail for $25,000. The other will have a trade-in value of $23,000.

beat me to it! Basically if you owe less on your car then what it blue books at you could go trade it straight over for a Z that was at the same price "technically"

Keosh, don't do it. Its not worth it. You're gonna lose money on the trade-in. You already took a big hit on depreciation on the new. Keep the 04 auto for now.
