What do you guys think about buying a car far away from you and having it shipped to you? Not seeing it in person or anything? Should i fly down there to look at it? I'm in the market for a 350z but anything worth my time is 1000+ miles away lol if you have bought a car liek this and had it shipped, what was your experience with it and did it meet your expectations?

+1^ there are companys who will do these for a fee which would be cheaper than actually going there yourself, ask the seller if someone comes to inspect it and approves he'll take that cost off the car or you both go in 1/2 on it. if he's not hiding anything he should be fine w/ that.

i'd fly over there and meet the seller at the airport with the car for a personal inspection(if your comfortable with your own expertise). But make sure to do your homework first like carfax.

Its bad enough buying a car that you can see much less than one that you have never seen.

My dad bought his SLK from someone in California. He had someone inspect it, I think it was about $100. Inspection came back fine so he bought it and had it shipped. When we went to pick it up, the driver of the truck told us that we were lucky and that 99 out of 100 cars he delivers for people that bought them online are crap.

i say you better go over and get someone to do the inspection for you.. paying couple of $$ is better than crying out later, loosing loads of $$$$...
