On my '05 roadster, I get about 20 around town, 30-ish on long road trips with mostly interstate driving.

Well, it seems we have learned that the 350Z fuel economy is somwhere between a Hummer and Toyota Yaris.

I'm sure that's really meaningful info.

A better yet comparison would be total miles driven per tank. I got 500 or so miles with 95% city; tanked up 16.8 gallons. This was somewhat of a challenge. Normally I can get around ~440 per 16.8 gallons when I don't push it (at all).

are you guys actually dividing your miles by the gallons you put back in the car or are you just going by the totally useless digital display? I was all excited cause the digital display says I'm getting 25mpg but yet I'll be lucky to get 300 miles on a tank of gas, the digital display is way off.

He's actually pretty nice when people post legitimate stuff that isn't full of topics or questions that haven't been beaten to death.

That being said, I'm consistently 17-18 mpg with 80% highway driving.

I'm usually seeing 22mpg on average.

For just putting around, I shift before 4500 rpm and cruise around in 5th most of the time.

Strange! I calculate my MPG and compare it to the readout, and its dead-on.

I average ~ 22 MPG, fill-up at about about 400 miles, and put in about 18-18.5 gallons.

I don't know wtf is going on with my car but it says I'm gettin 13.something mpg. I filled up the entire tank and have gone just over 100 miles and it's half empty.

If your runnin stock and getting only 13 mpg something may be worng with the car, thats real bad.

I don't run my tank low, usually fill 17 gallons and get about 320-340 miles per tank with 80% city driving.

Keep in mind that the MPG display is the average as calculated since the last reset of the display. It doesn't automatically reset when you fill the tank.

So if you fill your tank and drive it hard you can't look at the MPG displayed and expect it to match up to the actual MPG calculated from the miles driven and gallons used on the next tank refill. The only way it will be close is if you reset the gauge when you gas up then check it right before you fill again.

true but mine was reset because the batter was unhooked for a few weeks while I put a new engine in and it still reads way off.

With the Nismo CAI and Nismo Exhaust, I get 33mpg with 100% highway driving. But, this requires almost exclusive use of 6th gear, and no hard acceleration, and staying below 75mph.

Around town I average 23-26mpg
