If you are stock, I doubt it. The G37 coupe's suspension is going to be sick.

Here is what has got me hung up on the Z-redesign... Nissan messed up on the G37, it looks awful in comparison to the G35C. What if Nissan totally drops the ball on the 09 Z (or whenever)? Yeah, great engine, but lackluster styling? Count me out if thats the case! I want a new 07, but the upcoming, better engine has it appeal.. its a crap shoot really: get a new Z now while it still looks great, or wait and hope the new one doesn't suck

Maybe the Z will have several motors available for the 08/09 year? Or maybe a 350ZR would include a variant of the new Skyline motor! who knows I'll remain optimistic!

+1......If I was Nissan, I wouldnt mess much with the styling of the Z. It still looks as fresh as the first day it was released. The Z just looks good and a redesign that drastically alters the looks for worse will definitely deter me from ever buying one again. I dont care how much ***** power increase the new engine offers....wait let me re-think that one......I guess if the new Z could post Corvette Z06 numbers then a bad redesign could be forgiven....not!

If/when the Z gets redesigned, right now all the facts point to a 3.8L V6. Time will ultimately tell though.

No they don't. There's absolutely no reason for nissan to have a totally new powerplant for the Z in comparison the 3.7l VQ in the G37/GTR. It will be 3.7l.

That's a fully hand built race motor. You won't be seeing that in the new Z.

Just read in Nissan Sport the Japanese race team stuffed the M45 V8 engine into the 350Z. I would love to hear the sound of that

Believe what you want. Time will ultimately tell.

BTW, didn't they have to build 20 or so of those 3.8L 350z's so they could compete? I thought those Japanese competition cars had to be 'mass-produced' in small quantities in order to qualify, hence vehicles like the NSX-R.
