Would insurance be more for a "Track" model than a "Base"??

Yes, because the track model cost more than the base.

Might want to make sure your local PD's have the receivers equipped to track the signals, before deciding whether to invest or not.

Take a defensive driving class as well, insurance companies are mandated to lower you rates.

a 350Z is a 350Z, they base it off of your VIN and what you have as far as safety equipment. check with your insurance to get the specific quote for the vehicle in question.

Yup gotta agree with that as well.

And also at least here in NV insurance doesnt seem to go by price or options and no noticeble discounts for alarms airbags etc. etc. My C4s is and was always cheaper to insure than the Z.

Nowdays it seems mainly age of driver, credit rating, driving record and lastly type of car.

I'm don't think there's a difference (I own a 2003 track.) if you're not sure it's easy to get quotes. I spend my time in 2 cities: San Francisco and San Jose. my z can be at either place, but it was cheaper by about 50 bucks or so using the SJ address.
