Age doesn't determine your mind set, attitude does. That applies to young and old.

I agree with you 100%. If your mom want a 350z, she should get the track or gran touring, twin turbo that sucker, and smoke the living s*** out of all those young people (like me) who have sports cars. You have any idea how funny it is when i walk up to my Asian buddy and say, "dude... i got smoked by a grandma."

Have any idea how many older people would be dead due to not knowing how to drive a car that has more HP than a 4cyl honda?

That cracks me up. A better question is: Do you have any idea how many young drivers are dead because they didn't know how to drive a car that has rear wheel drive with 6 or 8 cyls. That was standard fare 30 years ago.

How about she might have wanted a sports car her entire life BUT had kids and had to sacrifice her needs for 20+ years so she could educate, feed, clothe, & cart her kids butts around to school, sporting events etc.

My bet is it is not a crisis, just time for her to get something she wants for a change. Go get it mom & if you got the extra change, slap a TT on it and smoke your son’s 350Z!

If you're a guy, mid-life starts at 36.

Oh crap! I guess that's what happened to me. I think my friends are only partially joking when they refer to my "MLC" car.

I started a year early, tho...

wow lol. to be honest i didnt really think of it that way, i mean part of me wants to argue that she could always have gone out and bought the car, but i think now with me and my sister both in college and my dad passing away, shes ready to be alone and make her own decisions again.

i think i will take some others advice and leave it up to her. shes capable of deciding what she wants. she wants me to test drive it though, no matter what she gets (her direct words. "i would never buy it without having you test drive it first") so i guess thats worth something.

frankly i would get great satisfaction in knowing my mom could SMOKE my Z.

this isnt the first time something like this has happened though. my other car is a 1978 Corvette Silver Anniversary with a 505 block. the day i bought it and drove it home, she went out and bought a 69 Charger just to compete.

if you haven't noticed, we are car people, and she is a little off her rocker when it comes to cars.

So NOT TRUE

My neighbor has a SL55 AMG, her tag says BYE 55.
She bought it for her 55th birthday, and she will race anyone. About a month ago i saw some guy's in a pretty nice looking Vet toying with her on the HWY. The guy's were messing with her and laughing and pointing.... Untill she smoked them
Tell your mom if she want's it then get it! Nothing wrong with a lady enjoying a nice ride.

Cheers

Do you think the car would fit her?
Don't know, how wide is your mom?
