Default Talk me into a 2 seater....

I have an Integra right now and like it for its reliability and soso fastness( faster than most SUV's and family cars).

However I will be able to afford a new car soon and want torque. I dont really like the image of the G35 coupe, I see mostly old men driving it and dont like the WRX's tranny and suspension. The Evo is great but it is expensive and reliability could be an issue.

So the real deal is, I love my tiny little back seat. I have a fiance and a dog and would like to be able to go places with both. Could a 60 lbs dog sit in the trunk or the passenger foot well comfortably? I am thinking no on the trunk...

Either the dog or the girl, but not both.

Default Practicality

The ONE feature you can't get on a Z is practicality. Sorry.

It does make one HELL of a second car though!

And no, I would not put a dog in the rear hatch of the Z.

Seriously, given your description of what you want, I would get the G35. It is basically a Z with a back seat. As for what "image" it has, it will have what ever image you project. You should buy what YOU like, not what other people like.

If the image _really_ bothers you why not tweak the G35? You could add rims, tint, whatever to make it personal and change it's image.

The other 2+2 option coming down the pike is the RX8. It is "comparable" to a 350Z but it has 2+2 seating and a sporty look.

Just a thought.

If it was me I would buy the G35 and re-define the image,

I donno, Ive seen some really well trained dogs that sit in their seat. if your dog is trained I see no reason why they couldnt be in the trunk in front of the strut bar.

getting him in and out would be tricky, but sure, he could fit.

wouldnt want to do it daily tho... and youd have to be sure the dog would lay down and not try to jump in your lap.

the dog also might scratch the crap out of your sidepanels, and maybe scratch up some interior. I would keep the integra for when you dont want to put miles on the Z, or when you have to go somewhere with the dog and the significant other.

Would a dog be okay in the rear hatch of a Z if you got into an accident, though?

nope, he isnt gonna be buckled into the front seat anyway tho, he might have a better chance without an airbag comin out at him tho. if your in a serious accident, any car, the dogs gonna be killed most likely.

I wouldnt imagine the interior might take a beating from it, but if its what you need to make it ok, take the good with the bad. lay down blankets, do what you can, you could not get the car because he might scratch the interior, but that doesnt make sense to me... a scratched interior is better than no interior...

I love the Z tho. maybe a bit too much.

My dog will fit in the back, also. He's a 31 lb. beagle. Anyone with a bigger beagle try it?

The good news is that to do it, you'll need two Zs.

Talk me into a 2 seater....
Well, one thing I thought about was that when I go out with my friends they'll never ask me to drive, which leaves me to do the drinking duties .

yes, 2 seaters do mean "I can't drive I only have two seats" which equals less mileage!
