Default 350z Liessssss

Since my story is so long, it has been paraphrased
I never see other 350Z's in my area. I saw one tonight in a parking lot that I recognized from last summer.
It was obviously an '06 model. LED tails, '06 head lamps, chin spoiler, '06 hood. Stock but with POS rims.

ME "Nice car"
DB driver "huh"
ME "Looks like a nice '06"
DB driver " hea"
ME "Looks like a nice '06"
DB "WHaaaT" as he turns down stereo he left on as he walked across the parking lot
ME "Looks like a nice '06"
DB driver "Oh it's an '07"
ME "No it's not, the '07's have a new bulging hood"
DB driver noticing my 350Z "Well I paid for an "07 so it's an '07" as he gets in his car and drives off in a huff.
ME ROLFLMAO on the inside

I went out for a little cruise tonight for no reason at all. I pulled into the parking lot of "Pizza Pizza" and what should I see pulling in a few seconds after me but a Daytona Blue 350Z. Now this is a big deal to me. Where I am from I never see another 350Z. In my area, Petawawa, the poorest county in Ontario, there are 4 350Z's. I've never spoken to any of the owners before. Just seen them a couple of times in passing. Aside from my own there is this Daytona Blue Z that I first saw last summer, a chrome silver Z, as well as a brickyard Z.
So I approach the DB 350Z driver on his way back to his car and say "Hey nice ride" assuming he saw my SS a few metres behind his Z. He was busy walking with an excessive swagger, and just said "hea" or "huH' or something unintelligable. No "thanks" or anything. I then proceeded to say, looks like a pretty nice '06 you have here. Now this statement was an exaggeration. There was nothing special about this '06. It was stock except for some POS rims he had thrown on that were undoubtedly worse than the stock ones he had on last summer.
To this he replied "WHHAT?" over his stereo he had left on as he returned his DVD. I repeated myself "looks like a nice '06" he turned down his stereo through his driver side window. WHHhhat?!" - me "ahem, looks like a nice '06" any enthusiasm gone from my voice as this dude was obviously to busy trying to "front".
He finally replied, "It's an '07". I cleverly pointed out "no it's not, the '07's have a bulge in the hood, the engine is revised"
Now he kinda looked around, maybe he noticed my SS sitting there now, maybe he was just embarrassed. But he got into his car in a huff and shot back " well I paid for an '07, so it's an 07" I just laughed. What a tool.
So guy in Blue 350Z should you ever become literate and read this. We all know's it's not an '07 for the following reasons.
1) You've got the same hood I do.
2) I saw your car in town last summer.

it is a shame that some Z owners can be so discourteous to other Z owners. i have only had my '07 a few weeks, but have seen at least ten Z's on the road. Out of those only two have waved back in passing. it's sad that they don't respect the heritage of their own car.

A thumbs up is good. Waves are too fruity and scary. No waving. That should be stickied for everyone.

I to get disapointed when another fellow Z driver doesn't give a thumbs up or some type of aknowledgement. But fact of the matter is, alot of Z owners don't give a rat's *** about other Z's on the road. They just bought the car cus it looks cool and they could afford it.

P.S. If this post makes absolutey no sense, with misspelled words and what not, just ingore it. I've been drinke Jager for awhile and don't give a damn.

When I was driving around in a 350z convertible, I got the (fobby) peace sign from a lot of drivers...either that or the middle finger

But yea, a lot of Z owners in this area are super cool. Bay Area, especially around Dublin, CV, San Ramon and Pleasanton, from what I've seen, most won't hesitate to acknowledge a fellow Z owner.

Oh he more or less acknowledged me. His problem was that he didn't know I had a Z until it was too late and the lies about it being an '07 had already left his lips more than once. He was so concerned with being a "baller" (LOL) and driving a brand new Z that he lied to try and look cool.
But he got pwned big time, and instead of being another cool modest Z dude, he's a posing, loser.

There is only one way to settle this dispute....Challenge him to a match of ping pong.

I really hate to say it (because I too own a Z) but the majority of Z drivers are d-bag's. Oh well doesn't make the car any less great.

....ive had the same prob. here in phoenix, there is no lack of z owners but there is some sort of an arrogance about it that bugs me... like for example, i have an 04, i pulled up to a brand new 07 and complimented his car... the ****er just kinda put his nose in the air and looked the other way... what a tool... but there is alot of that, i dont understand why people have such a hard time apreciating a nice car, or apreciating a compliment.. lets all stop bein *** holes and just ****in be nice.....

haha... thats a vent for yas... apreciate

Yeah I've had my a car a year now and theres plenty of Z's around and I've had one Z person on the road even acknowledge a wave. I always wave or give a thumbs up and a couple times they actually have appeared irritated by it.

I had a WRX before the Z and the WRX community is much friendlier.

I didn't think of it until now, but, they don't even make the Daytona Blue Colour in 2007 anymore.
So to recap the strikes against this d-bag. He has a 2006 hood, I saw his car last summer, and his car is Daytona Blue.
