Default 2007 Z + Rhino Ramps = No Go

I had purchased Rhino ramps after seeing that alot of people on this forum recommend them. Well I am here to say that you will absoultely scrape the crap out of an 07 Z trying to go up those. Luckily I checked before trying it.

DO NOT BUY them for an 07. I ended up just jacking it up and using stands the old fashioned way. Well at least i can use the ramps for my beater and lawnmower.

Well, I purchased them to for my '06 and realized the same thing. Try laying 2x4's in front of the ramps. Then drive onto the 2x4's and once you're tires hit the ramps you'll be higher on them allowing you clearance the rest of the way up. It'll still be close but doable. Also, make sure the ramp is secured to the floor (I made jigs on the garage floor for the ramps to sit against) or the tires will push them out from under the car.

Hope this helps!!

My 03 works fine with Rhino ramps, not like there is anything different about the front of the car that would make an 07 not work.

Funny, I have an 07, lowered a little bit (Nismo S-tune) and can get up on my rhino ramps without a problem. The ramps come close to touching the front bumper, but if you put them a little to the outside instead of exactly centered it works for me.

I'm here to tell ya, my 07 wasn't even close to makin it, i'll post some pix when I get a chance, maybe the 07s are lower, who knows. I'll stick to the jacks, I can get it higher off the ground anyway. Thanks all.

I made my ramps for a few bucks. I realized years ago with lowered or low cars, ramps are impossible.
I cut down 2x4's and made like step ramps. I have used them on some VERY low cars. Cars garages couldnt even get on their lifts.
Works great. The only thing is they are just high enuff to get the jack under and get the car up. Cant actually work under them to like change oil. But I dont care. I use jackstands all the time

Thats odd I have an 07 Z and had not a single problem. It made the set you have, or there may be a slight dip in the pavement you have them on.

07 GT model

I purchased a set of poweRamp's (by USLEISURE) last week at my locale Walmart. They are 11" wide and 7" tall. When you place them at the front wheels you have about 1/2" clearance. They worked fine for me going up and down. No SCRAPING!!!!!

$30.00's

I have an 07 lowered a bit as well. I do not have a problem either. When I jam them into place, they touch the underside of the bumper a little bit bit if I drive slow enough, it does not scratch it.

'07s are no different than '06s when it comes to clearance. I have had NO trouble whatsoever with the Rhino Ramps even though I have a GT so it has the front under spoiler. The clearance is VERY little, as in I can't even slide my pinky between the spoiler and the ramp when I place them in front of each tire, but there is clearance. I have been using them for a year now.

I have an 06 with the front chin spoiler and have no issues with Wal-Mart spec cheapo Rhino ramps making it. My car isn't lowered, has stock rims, and the garage is level. There was no issue at all with clearance.

maybe my garage is angled or something. it is a 'floated' concrete floor so I assume its flat. When I slide the ramps under, the fender touches the ramps before it even makes it to the tires. All I remember is saying to myself, "there ain't no way I'm driving up those". I'll have to sanp some pics tonight. They are the 8000 pound Rhino ramps from Autozone.

Just use the 2x4 method. It will work but make sure you have someone standing on the outside to make sure you clear it. My car is lowered about 2 inches and it still clears with the 2x4 method.

Rhino 8000 ramps are the same model I use.

Here's what I bought a few years ago. It's a standard steel ramp but has plastic extensions. Works great.

Arent the takata ramps only good to get a jack under, not really high enough to slide under and work on the car?
