Things that i will never change on a Z...

#1 Too much carbon fiber i.e. hood, mirrors, fenders, grill, gauges, interior trim, shift ****, steering wheel, door, trunk, wing, lip, sideskirt, etc. are all these really necessary. The amount of money spent to make your car lighter...is almost the same as buying twin turbo or supercharger.

#2 Sticker(s)...WTF!!! does people still think that every sticker add more horsepower. you're super duper gay if you're sport after market parts sticker on a stock Z.

#3 8k, 12k, 20k HID, what is wrong with the stock 4300k??

#4 side marker, JDM badges, fog lights, etc. JDM is played out .

#5 20" rims, 20" CHROME RIMs, and especially 20" CHROME RIMs with DUB sticker

#6 custom paint: neon yellow, lime green, hot pink, neon orange, why would you pay $2500 to $5000 and pick the most hideous paint

#7 >>>Lamborghini door<<< really?? on a Japaneses' car. Have you ever seen a Italian car with JDM side marker, window visor, beginner driver badges/??? LOL

#8 Make any mods that would make your car like a track car(bucket seats, road cage, anti sway bars, tie bars etc)...but would never bring your car to the track or too afraid to even drive on the track.

i can't think of any more right now...

hey whats wrong with a interfooler i love mine its great it fills that space inside the bumper....the only bad part is that mine cost alot.....

Nismo Z's, that's what you call Stock rice. Aside from the wheels I think the body kit and 2 tone seats look terrible.

Not trying to offend everyone, just my personal opinion.

Good. I was always afraid to say something. I think the Nismo Z looks terrible. I thought maybe it was just how it looked in pictures, but I saw one in person the other day. I was with several guys who are into cars when we came upon it. It got 6 thumbs down.

 

i like the nismo z alot its different for sure. I just wish it had leather seats i think two tone cloth is blah.

 

But... it's supposed to be "race" inspired. You're not going to find leater seats in a race car. Ever tried autox or a road course in leather seats? You'll end up in your passenger's lap.

 

I read the first 10 pages on this thread and then skimmed the rest. I figured out if I was a newbie and new nothing about cars and listened to everyone who posed that i would have a stock car.

I figure don't get something you aren't going to actually use. I mean you can putt all this stuff on your car but, if you're not going to use your car where you need a wide body kit and a tt and all this stuff, why get it. I mean whatever floats your boat. I'd rather buy a C6 vette then buy a new z, drop a tt in my car, do exhaust and all this crazy int, and a crazy body.

However I do agree w/ this:

-no chrome wheels/ grills *barf*
-underglow
-spinners
-padded seats... look comfy but, if you want comfy buy a lexus
-stickers for stuff you don't have
- and don't do what this guy did:

I seriously thought that this was going to be a informative thread, but i guess not. This thread's title should be, Hey everyone lets all drive the same type / looking cars. whether you like or not, people change their cars to be different. There is nothing wrong of being different. With that being said heres a pic of my z and my friends evo.

Not a big fan of the wheels but then again it doesn't look all that bad.

I cannot believe I just read all 34 pages... good stuff !! About 20" chrome wheels... what about these (sevas forged R5)? They are 20" but only the lip is chrome, I am about to get them with the spokes painted black, what do you guys think?

 

Everyone will differ on this, but my reasoning for it isn't just because I think chrome is ugly, but because it negatively affects acceleration, braking, handling, .... and I think chrome is ugly. But mainly because it yanks away performance from your Z.

 

too each his own
