Not only are they equal, they're identical.

I gave up on the S2k, still have the GTO on my list. Not interested in the STi, but I was just wondering, since both the Z and STI are good at the track.

Why dont you take them for a test drive? Not many people on here own both to give a valid comparison. Besides, I would not base my $30k purchase on someone else's opinion.

Also the GTO and S2K are discontinued for a reason. They didn't sell well.

I didn't read his last thread, but I normally enjoy these type of threads. If people can be somewhat objective, it can make for an interesting and informative thread.

I love "versus" threads...i dont understand why people get so irritated. Yall know you enjoy flaming others and giving biased opinions!

As far as the other thread, the S2K is out of my list. I need to go test drive a GTO, but there are only TWO brand 06 LS2 6spd GTOs left and they are out of state, I wont make them bring it over here just so I can test drive it and maybe go like "nah...its ok, i'll go buy something else" lol. Im a salesman myself and I know that feeling. The Z I do need to go drive. The STI isnt of my interest and the question I am asking here is about track, so I doubt I'll take the Z and the STI for a AutoX spin on the town ya know? Plus, I have a job, my free time is limited and I cant afford to go on fun test driving trips lol.

the Nismo Z has a whole different suspension and chassis. Its incredibly stiff. edmunds inside line said its pretty much unbearable to drive on the street, and the only time you would ever want to drive this car, is on the track. Pretty sure the Nismo Z would get a better time than an Sti on the track...

the sti has awd in the corners but the Z will match it becase it has super hicas steering.

the STI has a one large turbo where the Z has 2 small ones so the overall "speed" is the same.

the Z has an aero package wit front and rear funcional spoilers but the STI has one large rear one.

the Z only 0nly has 2 seats but most likely during a "drag" race, there will be no one in the back seats of the STI so it will be close.

Its gona be a clsoe race! Cant wait for results!

Why are you saying the Z is TTed? The 07 regular GT/NISMO Z aint TTed.

and that last sentence is dumb. If you wanted to point out that the Z is cooler cuz it has 2 seats then just say so...geez.

seriously at this point, everything is too new to determine what's better than what.
