There really isn't going to be much you can do about the orange peel. The car's gonna have it, all cars do nowadays. The only real concern you might experience now may be the suspension, kinda choppy, but I don't mind.

I pick mine up tomorrow also...had a little conversation with my salesman today...about alignment...said "I've driven several of them and haven't noticed a problem"..then I went on to explain the whole feathering issue...he seemed quite amazed. I printed out one of the threads about it and am going to take it in for him AND the SM to read..or file. Well at least I can bring this to their attention. Seriously think he thinks I'm BSing them. We'll see...

I doubt if you can determine if your car has any of the problems at time you pick it up. Orangepeel, maybe, but it seems all have it to some degree. I THINK I have orangepeel but, if I do, it ain't no biggy. Look on vertical surfaces....like the doors.

I just picked up my Performance Brickyard today, in fact. It definitely has orangle peel. I noticed it without really meaning to, but it just caught my eye at some point.

I traded in a 1998 Integra GSR, which I had never noticed orange peel on. If it had orange peel, it was nowhere near what the Z has.

Regardless, the brickyard Z is SO beautiful, and the orange peel is only visable in specific lighting when right next to the car... i.e. it's really nothing to worry about.

I'm going to keep my eyes open for tire feathering.

I noticed the suspension is a lot stiffer than my 'Teg's, and at one point it seemed to bounce a bit, but I think it was sorta determined that newer builds of the car don't bounce as much.

And I'm NEVER going to be able to make it 1200 miles without exceeding 4k RPMs. This car just wants to GO, and I want to go with it!
