Has daily driving experience in the 350Z changed since your last vehicle?
Before I got the 350Z, I used to drive a 1999 Toyota Tacoma 2WD 4 Cylinder. Undoubtedly a HUGE change... Anyway, it seems as if driving the Z has resulted in less respect from other drivers. In other words, people seems to be more dickish like not waiting their turn at stop signs, going to the wrong side of the median, constantly trying to cut me off, and also I've been hazarded by a Chevy Yukon and Sentra SE-R.... both of which I was clearly NOT street racing with. Have you noticed a change such as this or any of these? Wierd how that works, I just wanted to find out if anyone also is having this type of problem with other drivers because it's really starting to annoy me..
I had some idiot who I ran up on kind of fast because he was crawling at 55 in a 65 (so most go 70-75) in the fast lane on 183. He would not get out of his lane, so I stay behind them, not riding, but close, to prove my point that they are supposed to change lanes for faster traffic. He stood on his windshield wiper sprayer for like a minute straight, showering my car the whole time with fluid.
Sometimes it makes me sick to be an American. I hate people that fit the stereotypes. I wish we had stricter licensing, testing, license tiers, and that police enforced fast lane laws that we do have, like they do in Europe.

oh hell yes
i bought the Z for my wife (her drive is shorter than mine).
she stepped up from a well-used 91 jeep cherokee. the Z is much nicer.
now i drive the cherokee, which i love, and im selling my 94 saturn SL 4cyl 5spd with NO POWER STEERING! (growl)
when i get to drive the Z to work (once or twice a week) its a giant step up
haven't noticed anything except for a bunch of looks and a couple of ricer kids trying to race me. atlanta is a crazy driving city anyways, so i probably wouldnt notice since everyone is malicious no matter the car!

I have not encountered any negative experiences like the ones mentioned. I do notice that those in older Zs or the 350Zs always wave. Very rarely will a 300Z wave.
Other than that I have many people who come up and talk to me at gas stations or parking lots (if they want to follow me all the way out to the outskirts of parking lots since that's where I usually park).

One change I've made going to work and back is that I'm now driving slower (down closer to the speed limit
) just so I can spend more time in the Z.
Plus, I'm being more careful overall so I won't mess up my Z with a foolish accident.

I've had pretty positive responses from most drivers, and I've begun to take the long twisty road to work, instead of the shorter, less twisy road. I've gotten quite a few thumbs up from motorcyclists, which is pretty cool considering that they could easily wipe the floor with the Z.
Just this morning however, I was stuck behind some dude in a pickup who would not use the turnouts for the entire 14 mile trip over the mountain. Almost everybody who commutes on the road is very good about using the turnouts (which are spaced in approximately 1 mile increments). This one guy, however, would never pull over. I was flicking my high beams, trying to get his attention, but I think he decided that he would show me what his pickup could do. Unfortuntely, what was probably an exciting ride for him was pretty unremarkable in the Z. Ah well, there's always tomorrow!
