about once a month, I take a whole day and dedicate it to my car. I'll get out there and wash, wax, and detail my baby. I'll be out there for about 5 hours or more.

do worry make sure you hose it off really good before anything touches the paint and dont use an overwellming amount of soap. make you put a good coat of wax on it and some quik detailers everytime after you wash to replace what you washed off you should be ok i wash my car 2 to 3 times a week and the day efter it rains mine still looks good. the trick is to not rub dirt into your paint and rinse good and dry so no water spots.

I guess nobody here has a garage or cover? I usually just grab the z8 detail spray and knock the dust off once a week and wash her down once a month or when its a nice day out.

Lol. Im not quite that bad but I do get REALLY pissed when I park at home walk around the car twice and find a damn bug splattered all over the bumber. Then going around a third and final time I proceed to wash everything off. lol so I guess im kinda in the same boat.

wiping it off after every time your drive it does seem a little crazy. The washing part probably too though. 5 times in 3 weeks is probably overkill.

My Z is getting the special treatment now. She's garaged all day when I'm at work, and she's garaged at home. I managed to go 3 weeks without washing her and she still looked great!

Although, when I'm bored at home, I'll go wipe down the interior with some 303, wipe down the wheels, put some tire shine on and clean all the glass. It really makes a big difference and is even a good stress reliever

I wash mine at least 2 times a week, even if it hasn't rained. I have been known to wash it right before it rains or even during rain. I will usually wash it within 24 hours of it raining even if it is going to rain the following day. It is easier to keep it clean than it is to get it clean.

If you use good products and take care of the paint i don't think you can "over-wash" it.

My Z gets washes every weekend, assuming no rain for a few days. I am not OCD about it, but I am probably "above average" when it comes to how often I wash my car lol.
