Yeah my buddy works as a detailer at honda so he just gets my car washed for free.

You could always paint an owl on your hood. My Dad hung a fake one in his cherry tree and it keeps the birds away pretty well.

Someone told me about a fake snake on the roof would do the same but I haven't tried it yet though.

I shot a bird with a pellet gun once. Lined the head up in my sight, pulled the trigger, and exploded the head. When I went up to it, half the head/beak was dangling on a thread from the rest of its body. Never shot a bird again...

I've always heard the reason is the reflection from a washed car. Birds typically like to crap over water and certain colors of cars may appear to be a body of water to some birds, thus giving them the urge to leave their nasty gift. Not sure how true that is.

I don't get crapped on a lot, but I just washed my car tonight (when I did 2 days ago) because of this. It landed right on the peak of the roof.......so I had splatters all over the entire top surface of the car, from hatch to hood

When I use to have my Acura Legend, the car was a metallic brownish color. My folks took the car to the oregon coast one summer day and when they came back the entire hood was covered with seagull shet. No joke! I laughed my *** off.
