Back to the Z, I have started wearing driving mocs w/very little heel extension. It helps, but doesn't completely eliminate my fit. Some others may get more relief than I if they try it.

I'm almost 6 ft 185 lbs and find that the car is roomy. My problem is getting in and out of the car when there isn't enough room to open the doors wide. Those Z doors are so long. My friend complains that the beltline is too high for her unless she puts the seat up verticle. She's only 5' 5". Does anybody less than five and half feet have problems driving the Z?

One of the car nuts I work with is 6'9" / 280... he fit in the passengers seat fine, but wasn't really able to get behind the wheel as his left leg got pinned between the door and the wheel, with the seat all the way down, tilt wheel all the way up and seat all the way back. His comment was "I could drive it if it was an automatic, but who'd want that!"
I'm 5'11" / 215, but I'm a lifter and wear a 50" suit coat. I do find that in longer trips the seat isn't really really comfy in the upper back area. I'm thinking about getting some after market seats some time down the road.

6'3" 284lbs...I'm still workin' on my baby fat...I was a whopping 320lbs...but lost some weight doing atkins...I've kinda fallen off the atkins for a little and gained a few lbs back but I'm going back on atkins to reach my 220-230 goal weight.
Suprisingly..I fit in just fine. I'm very comfortable in it.
Why do people assume that just cuz its a 2 seater that the car has no room....its just a car minus the back seats...doesn't mean that the front seats are any smaller or less room....sure some cars this holds true for...but not the Z

I wear a 50 extra long coat too, but I have a long torso at 6'5", so I'm higher in the seat. I had an 82 Mustang w/factory Recaros as a special order. Best car seat I've ever sat in, bar none, and they had only minimal adjustment. They aren't inexpensive, but they are worth every penny, IMO.

Thanks Jason, sorry I missed the earlier reply.
I'm still debating whether I should freak out the salesman by bringing the helmet along for a seating test or not. Leaning towards doing it at present but your post puts my mind at rest a little.

Do what I did, go to a dealership where you are not planning on buying the car and ask to test drive/sit in the car with your helmet on. Once you are happy that you do fit, go buy the car at the original dealer.
I did this so that the dealer I purchased from would not give me a hard time on my trade-in (BMW 323i) because it was a track car.

OK Guys.
Quick question.
I'm 6'2" about 230lbs.
I recently test drove the 350z and made sure to lower the seat completely. However I still had MAYBE an inch of headroom to spare max. What are you taller track junkies doing about riding with a helmet? There was no way I could have driven with helmet in a "normal" seating position.

Also, I'd never take a helmet to the dealer, makes 'em think you want the car too much.

Heh, for day to day driving i dont sit up much. But ideally when doing aggressive driving/events you want to be close enough so that your wrist rests on top of the steering wheel with your back flat against the seat back. So this leads to a very upright driving position, and NO headroom.
Don't need to drag the helmet to dealer, i know about how much additional room I need to fit with it. There have to be some big guys on he doing Driving Events, auto-x etc.
