how did this get so far off topic? lol
PS I was consciously paying attention at what gears i was in at what speed today and 4th at 50 MPH seemed just right to me but you guys are right to really accelerate you need a downshift.

LOL... Tim, love it! It's the most fun when you make that performance model sing!

Let's see... The topic... Oh yeah, differential whine. I love it (it's normal) -- makes me feel like I'm back in a jet (ain't nothin like that turbine sound to get my juices flowin'). That coupled with the growl of the exhaust above 5K rpm just puts me in heaven. Might be the reason why I've never turned the sound system on since I've owned it (I don't even know if the thing works).

Paced (not raced) with a 'Stang GT the other night for a couple miles on an open highway stretch. We ran at about 130 for a short stretch. 5th gear was the highest gear I went to, and only for a brief period. After our little run, we dropped back down to about 80, we both gave each other a big grin and a thumbs up, and went on our separate merry ways. That's why I bought the Z -- better than sex! LOL...

Sounds like fun, Tere. Pacing is a very good word to describe it. Your car is purring and the miles just melt away, for a while you can lose yourself in the ride. I've only used my sound system 3 times in 10 months.

But, I must disagree with you about one thing, nothing is better than Great sex!
