Sorry it ruffled your feathers.

lol.....all good. Hate to break it you, but the word "ignorant" in todays society almost 99% of the time means doofus.
I shouldnt of jumped off the handle either, but our coffee pot is broke and im a little jumpy this morning
My badBack to the subject. OP, it really comes down to what you want. I've spent my fair share on mods and yes, they make me happy but sometimes I ask myself...is it all really worth it?
That being said, rims would get my vote.
unless you plan on going turbo/sc then do cosmetic upgrades with the money. You will get more pleasure out of looking at your ride with a sick *** body kit and rims rather than 20 extra hp after $4000 worth of bolt ons and installation cost. Believe me, many of us know this from expereince. if you want HP do it right the first time.... unlike myself
Good rims and tires will cost you $4K. A set of Volks which everyone seems to rave about cost about 3K w/o tires. IMO If I had a extra $4K I would pay off my car note balance (if you have your Z paid off than more power to you).

im telling you dude, dont lower your standards to get more stuff, your Z will look like trash / be riced out.
Get some wheels & tires.
1. If you tracked your car several times already (and I mean real tracks, not that drag strip bull-sh!+), and
2. you also feel that you want more out of the car
then go for suspension. First and foremost, springs, then sways. If daily driving, don't go too low (use hotchkis or SWIFT instead of tanabe) or you'll f*ck up your bumper and fender liner like so many others. If you didn't meet BOTH requirements, get the wheels and call it done. Remember, function>fashion

All these options are if you dont already have, Front lip, repaint front end if all chipped up, Rims and drop. will change the look of your car and wont have to worry about any motor problems 4k couldnt even get you a supercharger set up. well maybe if all was used and you installed and tuned it your self but then all you would have is a supercharger. Take for instance me I have spent about 11k+ in my car and still counting and when people look at my ride they think its stock just like factory. If I could do it all over again I would get rims drop lip and saved the rest of my money for a down payment on a project car.

BUT -1 on the sc. and -1 on getting a kit NOW. you dont have the money to buy a turbo kit and have it installed / tuned correctly. when you have 12K, ST setup. 15K, TT setup. 20K TT and built motor. you run into a lot more costs than youd think.
