We are what we eat-rice:mainly hondas. mix in some black beans and you have the secret recipe for the Z rear end-wide&tight.

Well I guess in most countries a car of Japanese/Asian manufacture is loosely called a "Ricer", but hey most other flavours of Jap cars, don't have the history the Z does, aka it's more deemed by those that know to be a classic.

So if we're rice, that's nice.

I hate it when someone parks next to me, no matter how nice the car is. Chances are, in the pics from the OP, there are numerous other spaces around but those two morons still chose to park next to him.

It makes me wonder why people here assume that just because the next guy (or girl) drives a nice car that automatically means that they take care of their ride and are careful about other cars. Nothing could be further from the truth. I've seen many Benzes, BMWs, Porsches, Audis, Jags, et. al. who park precariously close to other cars with many of their owners who swing their doors open with complete disregard for the cars around them.

I think its more of the fact that most $30k car owners care about their car and don't want to get door dings. At least you were in the middle of a Cayman and Evo and not a Focus & Escort. LOL

Cool, does that mean that I can park next to a fully loaded Camry and Accord and be safe in knowing that because those cars are $30k, my car will be safe?

Again, I assume NOTHING about anyone, I give NO ONE the benefit of the doubt, I don't discriminate according to car brand prestige or status, I don't like it when ANYONE parks next to me, whether it's a 911 or a Kia (especially when there are PLENTY of usable spaces around).

If I saw a Z parked in a lot...and it had any mods at all (even clear reflectors)..i'd assume he was an enthusiast or some one in this forum and probably park next to him...maybe i'm a ricer

I tend to park away from all cars since it's hard getting in and out of my Z. I'm only 5'4 and is a hassle getting in and out of it when it's parked next to other cars. Thinking of getting lambo doors since it looks a lot easier to open doors with other cars around.

Preach on, brother. I am with you 100 percent.

If I park next to someone, it's because it's unavoidable. It's in those times when I would choose to park next to a CLEAN car. At least when it's clean, you know the person at least is making an effort to have their car look good. No dents is also another good sign.

You're selling your TSX because you want a RWD car.

Anyhow, "Rice" does attract "rice" if you consider "rice" to be nice perf. or modded cars.

Back when I was in college, there was a section of the parking lot filled with modified perf. Japanese cars and tricked out Euro sedans and coupes. There was never a verbal agreement or a meet, everyone just parked there and gave each other the perfect amount of space.

It wasn't because they all had "expensive" cars, because some professors could have cared less about their luxury bucket. Everyone in that section just had the same mindset and enthusiasm about cars.

I'm bad: I do the same.

I try to park next to nicer Japanese cars just cause I can assume those people aren't millionaires but value their car, and to help my car "blend in". People seem to love Z's, even when stock.

I try not to park near european cars, especially SUVs because chances are its some overly-medicated soccer mom who can't drive and is a spoiled brat-adult who will will slam their doors into the side of mine or let their kids do the same.

I also park near convertibles nicer than mine with the hopes that if someone wants to rip open the top or sit inside or something stupid, they'll go for the other car!

for me its a way to say...hey nice car..worthy of another nice car being parked by....

also...less chance of door dings..and sometimes can meet cool people who are into cars like us.
