Default Good idea or bad idea / Wanting to take my Z to the dealer for oil change but....

But I am not sure if its a good idea to show up with Cats,popcharger,exhaust... In fear that they might note it in the system of the mods and later on when I come in for warranty work they pull up my history and decide not to cover work. Im I being paranoid or is this a bad idea?

Yes, you're being paranoid.

how can it be "mixed feelings"? it straight out tells you that mods will not void warranty unless the mod causes damage directly to the car.

I only posted this becuase of all the stealership horror stories we read about. For example, one member stated that he was going to get a letter stating they would void his warranty because of a mod even though his car was fully functional and had no issues.

You will end up at Camp Gitmo with the rest of the warranty violators.

Dude it takes like 45 min to change your oil, if you're working SLOWLY. You can't find time for that for your considerable investment in your car?

The way I look at it, the less time the high school dropout mechanics at the dealership have my car, the better. INVARIABLY, SOMETHING will be wrong with your car the more you have it at the dealership.

Do it yourself.

In my line of work there are times if I get 30 minutes for lunch man. Either way, thanks for the advice, I will head down to the stealership and have them knock it out.

change your own oil.

I've had 3 customers now get their carbon fiber hoods cracked while just getting an oil change.
