well, not all altezza lights stick out where the bulbs are but in this case, it does. It will definately be more tricky putting the film on. You can use tint spray in a can...the only downsides that it won't be really glossy. If you give those lights to a professional bodyshop, they can put a tint and clear them for probably 50 dollars each light and it will last long just as paint would. You can polish and wax them as well.

I would recommend tinting it with the spray on buffing them with some 2500 grit compound, washing with Dawn spray on some bomb can clear, buff with 2500 then 5000 compound and it will look very nice.

PM Bat, his overlays are awesome and very easy to install. I'm sure you could use a blow dryer to get the vinyl to shape itself around the buble area.

Go to a Hobby Store or Walmart, go to the Model paints and look for a spray called Smoke. get you some sandpaper, masking tape, a flashlight, rubbing alcohol and a can of clear and do it with spray. With that bulge your not gonna like laying it on. Just crack the light open, gently sand the inside of the lights so that the cover so that the paint will stick, spray your light a layer at a time and use the flashlight shining through to see how much illumination you get andonce you get the amount you want clear them. You'll probably end up using an entire can of clear for both tails if you want it to look good.

The best advice would be................. to not get those taillights and invest in a set of 06 or 07 led's.

If your going to tint those use Nite Shades - and spray the tint on imo.

It could look good tinted. Untinted

You can use Nite Shades for any of the lens. I just chose to smoke my tail lights, backup lights though:

Just three very light coats of spray in 15 minutes time. Then dry wet sand lightly with rubbing compound, clay bar it and a little wax ...

I bought my smoked front reflectors with LED's off line already smoked:

Night Shade or model paint smoke is the only way that is gonna come out looking decent. It's cheap and easy (kinda like combats mom) and it lasts. I recommended the model paint because it is easier to get pending on where you live. Around here store stopped carrying the Night Shade because it isn't considered street legal. luckily I still have 3 cases in my my garage because I do this for friends and neighbors so I can have a hobby, lol.
