Default Buy an 07 or 08?

Ive been planning on buyin an 07 once the 08s come out and such so that the price is lowered, considering that the price difference is only like 500-1,000 dollars would it be smarter to get an 08?

The reason id want the 08 over the 07 is chances are any problems with the 07s have been fixed for the production of the 08s, not to mention resell value is higher.

Im worried though that the 08 might have problems of its own or might not be mod friendly with the mods for the 07.

Am I overthinking all of this? haha

Any help is welcome.

all reports I have seen they are pretty much the same except some paint color changes.

Personally If you can find the 07 you want and its a little cheaper I would go that route but if not theres nothing wrong with going 08

If you want to stand out get a 08 in the new nogara red. If not get an 07 and save some money. You don't buy a car like this for the resell value (which sucks) so unless you're PLANNING on selling it in a set number of years get an 07 hehe.
Also as far mods go the 07 and 08 will be supposedly identical except for new color.

Unless I'm mistaken they've just been getting better and better every year (they're fixing their problems every year). So I doubt the 08s would have problems of their own as such, only seen about 3 posts about something wrong with the 07s so far... the later production date the better I guess.

I still think Nissan will suprise us with the 08 somehow! A few horsies to the motor or something in the interior department maybe. It's more than likely the last production year, they'd want a car like this to go out on a high.

Well, after 4 years of lurking...... I ordered my 08 Black, Grand Touring 6speed on Wednesday. For me it was a must to order... gotta get the exact options I want... and even with the $$... the thought of owning a Z that someone else could have farted in... heck no. ;-)
So yeah. Go order your 08. There are no changes besides color as has been just about proven on here. With an 08, you will have the newest Z you could get and prob wait less time then an 07 owner has for certain mods to come out.
Less time because 07 is same as 08... so mods have been in development for at least a year now.

it has already been confirmed many times now that there is no difference between the 07's and 08's.

I'd buy the the 2008 model if you wanna keep the Z for less than 5years. If you wanna keep the Z for more than 5 years get the cheaper 07 b/c the resail value won't be much different after 5 years between the 07 and 08 model.

Agreed. Nil difference, so model year means nada. I plan on keeping my 07 for my grand kids, so yeah, no big deal here. Z loyalty 4 life!

I would go 08 by now, its a little to late in the year, you mentioned resale value, so i take it thats important, than go 08 for sure, if its not then go 07 you can get a brand new one for 24k if you negotiate it right.

There will be no difference in resale value between the two model years.

Well, I went in during lunch on Wednesday. They said they couldn't order 07's anymore. I wanted an 08 anyway. They were able to put the order into Nissan right then because there order window was open or something.
I was told that the car will arrive mid December.

If you want to save money now get an 07.
If you want to sell the car in a few years for slightly more $ get an 08.
Either way you'll probably end up even in the end.
My 07 has had no problems.
